Privacy Policy

Rolldrift is built so that this policy can be short. We do not collect any data about you or your photos. Everything happens on your iPhone. This page exists so the contract is explicit.

What the app collects

Nothing. The privacy label in the App Store reads “Data Not Collected”. That is accurate.

• No name, email or other contact information.
• No analytics, no crash reporters that phone home, no advertising identifiers, no tracking SDK.
• No account and no server.

Your photo library

Rolldrift asks for access to your photo library to show it as a feed. It reads your photos and videos on the device and never uploads them. It writes to your library only when you ask it to: a heart marks the photo as a Favorite in Apple Photos, and saving to an album adds it to a real Apple Photos album. Rolldrift never deletes photos or videos. If you use iCloud Photos, Apple's own service downloads originals as you scroll; that is between your iPhone and Apple.

Notes and settings

Notes you write, the posts you hide from the feed, and your place in the feed are stored on your iPhone and in its backup. Nothing is sent anywhere. You can export all notes from Settings at any time.

Place names

To show “Lisbon, Portugal” above a photo, Rolldrift asks Apple's geocoding service for the name of the place where the photo was taken, using its coordinates. The request goes to Apple, not to us, carries no identifier, and the answer is kept on the device so each place is looked up once. Turn off “Show place names” in Settings and no lookup is made.

Purchases

Rolldrift Pro is bought through Apple. We receive no payment details and no personal information.

This website

The pages you are reading are served by Firebase Hosting and use Google Analytics 4 to count page views, which pages get read and roughly where readers come from. There is no advertising here and no profiles are built.

• Until you accept, nothing is stored on your device. Analytics storage starts denied; the visit is counted as an anonymous ping with no cookie and no identifier.
• If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies so a returning visit is not counted as a new person. Google processes that data on our behalf.
• Advertising signals stay off permanently, accepted or not.
• You can change your choice at any time.

Children

Rolldrift does not collect data from anyone, including children, and shows no ads.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date above changes with it.
